A product recall has been issued on a batch of EpiPens due to a problematic defect.
According to 98fm, it’s understood that the problem relates to the pens having issues with their injectors.
The affected EpiPens are 300mg pre-filled pens, with a printed expiry date of May 2017, and the lot number: 5FA665G.
The Health Products Regulatory Authority is urging every EpiPen user to check the details carefully on their own personal devices.
Should they have picked up a batch of affected devices, the user should return them to the pharmacy from which they bought it, where a replacement will be given for free.
