This Cute Café Is An Absolute Godsend For City Centre Workers

AmyBell

We all love finding new places to eat around Dublin.

And now we’ve found the ultimate hidden little gem on Pearse Street, and it’s definitely somewhere you need to check out for lunch.

Especially if you’re working in the city centre.

Honey Truffle opened its doors to the public earlier this year in May, and the eatery is the perfect spot for a bite to eat, be it for breakfast, lunch or simply if you need a quick coffee fix.

The relatively new café on Pearse Street was set up by Eimer Rainsford, a former Avoca head chef who also runs the Pink Ginger cookery school.

The café is full of brightly colourful salads and sandwiches which look truly mouth-watering. And they taste just as good as they look, if not better.

They also do soups, but you would want to get there early because they really fly out. They are that good.

We love the cute little salad boxes and they do daily specials that will rock your taste buds. No joke.

You can choose your leafy greens, a topping of seeds, cheese or a dip which include nam jim dressing, honey and lemon dressing and a yogurt with cumin and lemon to name but a few.

And then you can add either lime and chilli chicken or chickpeas, potato and pea cakes.

It’s making us really hungry.

Maybe the photos will convince you to try Honey Truffle out.

If you still have room after the generous dish of salad, you could be tempted to try out the sweet cakes…

They have heavenly chocolate brownies, almond and chocolate muffins and crumbling croissants.

That’s only naming a few and there’s deliciously brewed coffee to go with it.

Basically, it’s the perfect spot for a quick bite between work or to sit in with your friends for a catch up over coffee.

Honey Truffle is open Monday – Friday from 8am – 4pm and you need to check it out if you haven’t already.

We don’t know about you, but we know where we’re going for lunch today.

It’s Friday, treat yourself to a delicious healthy lunch and a chocolate lover’s desert afterwards.
