No plans for tonight?
Well, you’re in luck – ’cause we’ve got the best gig ever for you to get down ‘n’ dirty at, right smack bang in the middle of the city centre.
Fehdah, Irish festival favourite and Nialler9 regular, are launching their EP in the Sugar Club tonight – and it’s the best excuse to go out dancing that we’ve ever heard.
Fehdah is an eight piece future afro soul band led by Emma Garnett.
The music combines Emma’s African roots with her and her band’s irresistible hip hop and funk forays to create a sound that’s simultaneously forward looking and referential to the past.
Known previously for lending her smooth vocals to the likes of Manden Express, RiZA, and Loah, and her collaborations with Ben Bix, Emma is joined by a star-studded lineup featuring members of the aforementioned bands Meltybrains?, Danny G & the Major 7ths, Tig Linn and more.
And basically, they’re deadly.
Tickets are €15 on the door and €12.50 online.
For those of you who are going, make sure you get tickets for this one – as it’s certainly going to sell out.
