Workmans are hosting a fundraiser concert tomorrow evening to raise funds for the American Civil Liberties Union (ACLU), a civil right organisation.

A huge group of trad musicians are participating in this major sesh that is guaranteed to be a Sunday night well spent.

Named 'Sanctuary Sessions: Trad Music for Civil Rights', the gig is part of a collective action to support the protection and preservation of individual rights that are perceived to be under threat from the current presidential administration in the US.

It's all part of a wider series of trad music concerts happening on the same day across the US, from LA to Boston.

It's all kicking off from 7pm tomorrow and while there's no fixed door cover, we suggest you donate a tenner as all proceeds go directly to ACLU.

"Immigration and cultural exchange between Ireland and the US has shaped the history of Irish traditional music enormously. Several of the musicians who will feature in the benefit concert at the Workmans Club in Dublin are US-born, and several others have resided in the US and toured there as professional musicians. They are committed to supporting the important work of the ACLU in defending civil rights and hope that their music will inspire a message of love, solidarity, and peace."
