This Delicious Roald Dahl Inspired Brunch Is Happening In Dublin Next Month

Alana Laverty

To celebrate the 100th birthday of the legendary Roald Dahl, Platform 61 on South William street are holding a Roald Dahl-inspired brunch on Saturday November 5.

Adorable

The Welsh-born author sold over 250 million books worldwide, with favourites including Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, Matilda, The Twits and The BFG.

All movies featured some interesting, and certainly quirky, food delights. Who could forget Snozzcumbers and Whizzpoppers?

There will be a selection of Dahl-inspired delights at the brunch – including Birgit Svenson’s Eggs Benedict, with a nod towards Birgit from the Witches, and Farmer Bean’s Eggs Florentine honouring the Fantastic Mr. Fox character.

The Cupcake Bloke will be serving delicious chocolate cupcakes, that even Willy Wonka would be proud of, while James and the Giant peach fans can try their peach inspired creation.

Aungier Danger will be providing some delectable donuts including the Human Beam donut, and the despicable-lickable wallpaper-flavoured donut.

There will also be two golden tickets up for grabs…

There are three brunch time slots throughout the day and tickets are available from €20 which include brunch, doughnut or cupcake and cocktail.

See you there?
