Dublin Bus have proposed a change to one of their northside routes effective from July 10 onwards.
The 27b bus route runs from Harristown Garage to Eden Quay in the city centre, and the change will cut two miles off it. The new route will completely bypass Santry Village and stop the only route from there to Beaumont Hospital.
Instead of Harristown Garage, this newly planned route will use Oscar Traynor Road as its depot.
@RoisinShortall Saw this today in Santry. Losing the 27b would be a massive blow to many local residents. Pls RT. pic.twitter.com/dJIVkGIj7f

@dublinbusnews @DubCityCouncil Hope there’s no truth in rhumours 27b route is to change or be dropped. It’s a vital service for many.

Lots of locals have spoken out urging Dublin Bus not to go through with the change, as has Councillor John Lyons.
More as we have it.
