This Dublin Pub Is Hosting A Sega Mega Drive Day On Paddy’s Day With All The Classics

Our prayers must have been answered, as the good folks at are running a Sega Mega Drive day at The Back Page pub, Phibsborough on Paddy’s day.

The first of it’s kind in Dublin, the day involves games we thought we lost along with our youth, our hairlines and ability to drink.

On the day will be Micro Machines and Mortal Kombat II tournaments, with a bunch of free classic side games like Street Fighter, Streets of Rage, Golden Axe, Sonic Series, Mega Bomberman, Fifa 95 and more.

And for those of you who want to join in but not compete – the Side games are free for anyone to come along on the day and join in the craic, so you can just stroll on in, and play away.

Course you are.

The tournaments are as follows:

15:00 – 17:00: Micro Machines 96 (Registration ends at 14:50)
16:30 – 18:30: Mortal Kombat II (Registration ends at 16:20)

Both Tournaments will be double elimination format, giving players double the craic and double the chance to win. If you lose one match you’re put back into the tournament to play again, in a later round.
