The ongoing rental crisis is the talk of the nation and this apartment up for rent on Meath Street proves it.
While the cost of living and renting in Dublin is high, this one apartment may be taking it too far as the two-bedroom space is available to rent for €1,450 a month.
One of our readers shared the shocking photos with us after he went to view it yesterday evening, having seen the property on Dublin Lettings.
The photos on the website make the property seem decent enough, but when Steve saw it last night he was left horrified at the state it was in.
Here’s what it looks like on the site:
And this is how it looked in reality:
Steve said it was “filthy dirty” and the toilet was basically built right into the living room.
He said, “It was in a very bad state, it was old and filthy dirty and doors were hanging off in the kitchen.”
While no price is listed on the site and you have to inquire, Steve said he was quoted €1,450 a month to rent the apartment.
Will the rental market get any better?
