Unless you’ve been living under a pretty substantial sized boulder, you’ll have noticed that today, March 8, is International Women’s Day.
Because of this, many businesses around the world are giving out free treats, allowing female workers to strike and even donating proceeds to women’s charities.
One of the Dublin establishments that is doing the latter is Ely Restaurant – who announced in their Twitter earlier that the’r macaroon proceeds are going to Women’s Aid for the whole of today.

What a great and charitable idea!
So if any of you lovely people want to treat yo’ self on this day of equality, then get on down to your nearest Ely and get stuck into the nearest macaroons you can find.
Hon the women!
