This Dubliner Is Being Buried Alive For 48 Hours To Raise Awareness Of Mental Health

katedemolder

Mental health has been quite a hot topic in Ireland as of late.

For years, it was stigmatised, unspoken about and disregarded as a ‘real’ illness. But now, things are starting to change. Thankfully.

One of the people looking to get a conversation like this started is John Edwards. Edwards is a 62-year-old Dubliner who has opted into being buried alive for 48 hours to raise awareness of mental health and addiction.

You can see his live stream right here:

As of time of writing, John has been buried alive for 13 hours, completely a quarter of his time being buried alive.

There is also currently an active live chat happening alongside the video, along with the hashtage #GraveChat, should you wish to express your feelings on the subject. John also has his phone on him at all times, meaning that he can see all the messages of hope and enjoyment during his stay.

What a way to grab attention. We wish John the very best of luck!

A very noble cause.
