The Central Bank building on Dame Street is currently under new ownership.

And what do the new owners want to do with the iconic Dublin building?

They’re only hoping to open access of the building’s roof to the general public. No big deal.

Speaking to Newstalk, Senior Managing Director of Hines Ireland Brian Moran mentioned that his firm is part of the group which purchased the building for €67,000,000. He also said that they foresee “opportunities even on top of the building to have more public access.”

Moran also mentioned that they’re may be room for food and drink outlets opening on the top floor.

He added that the redevelopment hopes to bring an “enlivened edge” to the building to compliment the pedestrianisation of College Green.
