If you grew up in Dublin or even the Greater Dublin Area, you'll remember back fondly of the times you gazed gladly upon classics such as Black Beauty, The Lion King, 101 Dalmations and Hook in Screen One, Savoy Cinema, O'Connell Street.

However, rumours that Screen One may be no more are sending the rumour mill into a frenzy. Rick O'Shea of 2fm was the first to ask the dreaded question on Twitter, only to be met with a huge array of distaste.

Sad times for movie lovers.
