Kevin Hines attempted to take his own life, way back in September 2000, by jumping from the Golden Gate Bridge. And surviving.
Ever since then, he’s been travelling the world to stop others from feeling the way he felt.
Next Monday, as part of an event for Pieta House, Hines be speaking at the Mansion House, to Brian Higgins, CEO of the suicide prevention centre and Aslan band member Christy Dignam, Leslie Dowdall (In Tua Nua) and Keith Geraghty (Friends of Emmet).
The event, named Hope Helps Heal: Kevin Hines in Conversation, takes place next Monday, March 6, at the Mansion House, Dawson Street.
We imagine it will be a spectacular event for those in need and those who are inquisitive about mental health, and fully recommend going.
