Join Us On The Perfect Food & Beer Trail of Dublin

Louise

Dublin is home to some seriously stellar restaurants, bars and pubs, so we’ve put together a trail that all the city’s food and drink lovers will adore.

We’ve teamed up with award-winning brewery Franciscan Well and came up with a trail to feed and water you in the best way possible, but there’s a catch — it’s very exclusive.

Three venues, three different dishes and a night of good chat, excellent food, beers and (most excitingly) you will only share the whole experience with 30 other people on March 25.

Guests will have food guides talk them through the culinary delights offered by Dublin, and will be brought to some top restaurants to sample food and delicious Franciscan Well beers, as well as learning some little known facts about our fair city as they go.

Franciscan Well have picked up numerous awards and accolades over the years, having won over 30 awards since 2013, and winning the best Seasonal Pale Ale in the World Beer Awards 2015 — so they must be doing something right. Their beer sommelier Des McCann will also be at these events to talk about the drinks and food pairings on offer, as well as answer any questions you may have.

So here’s how it goes: you’ll meet at the entrance St George’s Arcade on George’s Street at 2.55pm where you’ll be split into two groups of 15 people for the first two venues. The splitting of the groups really allows you to get the personal touch from your guides, before everyone reunites at the last venue.

Starting at 3pm, the first stop will be Market Bar (or Rag Trader, depending on your group), where you’ll be treated to chicken and chorizo skewers and Market Bar house nachos, paired with a Franciscan Well Friar Weisse beer.

Market 1

Rag Trader (or, if you’re in the other group, The Market Bar) is up next, where you can tuck into smoked salmon, cured parma ham, brie cheese, black pudding, apple purée, and pair it with selections of breads, as well as a Franciscan Well Chieftain IPA.

Rag 2

You’ll all regroup at 37 Dawson Street around 5.15pm, and enjoy a raspberry cheesecake, paired with Rebel Red Ale. Heavenly!

Dawson 2

If you’re a Franciscan Well lover then this is definitely the event for you.

Tickets for the March 25 event are €34.99 each and you can find them HERE.

So who’s up for it?
