Airbnb hosts in Dublin make an average income of €4,900 a year from the website.

Irishtimes.com published details from a report called Home-Sharing: the Positive Impacts on Dublin which revealed a bevy of statistics about the accommodation site, such as the fact that Airbnb users generated a staggering €275 million for Dublin’s economy, with 39% of that money going directly to the neighbourhood in which guests stayed.

Last year 6,100 Airbnb hosts welcomed 403,500 visitors to Dublin for an average of 3.2 nights. 5,000 guests came to Dublin for St Patrick’s Day alone.

The average Dublin host is 39 years old and has been leaving in their neighbourhood for 16 years. 53% are female, 47% male. 

The Phoenix Park neighbourhood is the most popular location for Airbnb users in Dublin, as well as being one of the most popular neighbourhoods on the site in general.
