We've been hearing that the property market in Dublin is bubbling up again with high rents being of particular concern. With all the students back and a lack of supply you get to a crazy situation where a place like this ends up costing 800 Euros per month to rent. We don't really know where to start but the 2 mattresses above the bed look about as grim as it gets. You are basically paying a small fortune to sleep above a shitty looking jacks. Here is what the landlord says about it...
This is a large spacious double studio,with an unusual design suitable for 2 people ,the beds are fixed and cannot be changed, located on the first floor at the back of the building ,so no street noise , .The LUAS is quite close on, Harcourt Street ,as is St .Stephens Green. this studio is quite big and bright and catches the sun in the evening.
At the end of the day it is an open market and people can choose what to pay and where to stay but if Dubliner's are having to pay 800 snots for something as horrific as this we can't be in a good place.
