If you head in to watch the parade tomorrow, you’re likely to be greeted with a sea of colour, activity, music, dance and sheer creativity.
But in the fledgling Irish state – which was only one year on from severing the majority of its ties with the British Crown, as well as introducing the Constitution – things were a little bit different.
