This Patch Of City-Centre Concrete Is About To Be Transformed Into An Oasis Of Green

You know the spot – it sits anonymously in one of the most vibrant parts of town, populated by bikes and always under the watchful eye of the iconic ‘Why Go Bald’ man.

But this little concrete patch on the corner of Dame Lane and George’s Street is going to be transformed into something a whole lot more noticeable this summer thanks to a group of ‘guerilla gardeners’.

The colourful conversion will take place as part of BloomFringe, which aims to daub the city in colour on the weekend of May 30 – and organisers have set up a Facebook event in order to entice as many people along as possible, with the promise of music, art installations and performances on the site.

Judging by the photos from last year’s event (from the festival’s Facebook page), it’s going to make a fantastic addition to this part of the city centre – and we can’t wait to see what else these guys come up with for their 2015 festival.
