Most Dubliners know that there’s much more to the city than just the old ‘cultural quarter’ of Temple Bar. But then, most Dubliners aren’t in Temple Bar today.

After all, even though the cobbled streets can provide an absolutely unreal atmosphere, it can generally get so crowded (not to mention expensive) that it’s best to veer off the beaten track – particularly on St Patrick’s Day.
