This Wonderful Art Event Will Raise Money For Dublin’s Homeless – But Your Help Is Needed

seank

Homelessness remains a major problem in Ireland, but efforts to combat it are increasing all the time, such as this charity event taking place on January 28.

The ‘Where The Heart Is’ art auction will take place at 12 Henrietta Street at the end of the month, with all funds raised going to a homelessness charity group. Organiser Evan Musgrave said,

We’re calling upon anyone interested to create an original piece of art, or to contribute something they may have lying around at home, in order to hold a pop up event over the course of one evening where the artworks are sold and the money goes towards a homeless charity.

The charity in question is the Irish Housing Network, a group that was established in May of last year with the aim of combating the housing crisis. The network made headlines six months ago after they reclaimed and renovated an abandoned hostel to shelter Dublin’s homeless.

The charity art auction will be held at 12 Henrietta Street on January 28. It’ll take place from 7pm until 10pm.
