All the way back in December 2008 Dublin Airport did the soundest thing for a customer who had issues paying for her parking ticket – and now nearly nine years later she’s paid them back.
The unnamed woman ran into a problem when she was trying to pay for her parking ticket after coming back from a trip away.
After pressing the help button a man in the car park security let her car through the barrier with the promise that she would pay the €50 fee when she got home.
It turns out she never got to pay it, but last Friday Dublin Airport received a cheque from the woman along with a box of Maltesers and an apology letter.
Dublin Airport shared the story on their Facebook page:
The woman is said to have thanked them for their “patience” and the man who helped her on the day.
Dublin Airport said they closed their accounts for 2008 and so they have donated the €50 to their Charities of the Year fund which support MS Ireland, Merchants Quay Ireland and My Canine Companion.
