Trains From The City Centre To Dublin Airport Might Be Happening Sooner Than Expected

seank

A plan to construct the rail link to Dublin Airport from the city centre two years earlier than expected is now being considered.

Construction of Metro North was due to begin in 2021 with a completion date of 2026 or 2027. The Government currently has €2.6 billion that is yet to allocated to projects and Minister for Public Expenditure Paschal Donohoe proposes using this money to speed up the Metro North project by two years.

It’s thought that speeding up the process would make Dublin a more attractive location for companies leaving Britain following Brexit, according to Irishtimes.com.

Would you be happy to see this money being used to improve access to the airport? Let us know in the comments.
