Two Dublin Pubs Have Been Named Among The ‘World’s Most Interesting Bars’ By Experts

We often don’t appreciate what’s right on our doorstep, and this is certainly true of the humble Irish pub.

Globally, however, they know just how special an Irish pub is, and now these two Dublin pubs have been named among some of the world’s most interesting bars by experts, Joel Harrison and Neil Ridley.

Bowe’s Bar on Fleet Street and L. Mulligan Grocer in Stoneybatter were the only two Irish pubs to make the cut in new drinking guide, ‘Straight Up: The Insiders’ Guide to the World’s Most Interesting Bars And Drinking Experiences’.

The book describes the cozy Victorian pub as, “The Emerald of Dublin” and picks it out as a great spot to grab yourself a nice pint of Guinness.

Meanwhile, L. Mulligan Grocer also featured in the guide and is described as, “the ultimate watering hole for Irish whiskey”.

The gastro-pub not only serves delicious food but it has an extensive range of whiskey with well over 200 to choose from.

The guide said, “Your whiskey may have an alternative serve available – incorporating different foods (sometimes ice-cream, candy floss or popsicles) as well as different beers, Kombucha tea and locally roasted coast.”

Now you have no excuse not to check these two spots out for a nice frosty one this weekend.
