Could McGregor's Rescheduled World Title Fight Take Place In Dublin This October?

The big fight might be off after Aldo backed out – but the rescheduled date here could come at just the right time

Irish UFC fans have been feeling a little down on their luck today after it was revealed overnight that the huge McGregor versus Aldo fight scheduled for 11th July in Vegas is off.

The Irishman will still get an interim title fight against Mendes, but the one we had all been waiting for has been postponed.

So that's the bad news.

The better news is that the UFC have just announced that they'll be coming back to the 3 Arena in October. Now we don't want to get ahead of ourselves but if McGregor beats Mendes and Aldo is better by then could this mean a title fight in Dublin?

Unlikely given the timezones and the need for a huge pay-per-view audience – but a fight night in Dublin without McGregor as top dog isn't quite as exciting, and UFC will know that.

Either way... Dublin fight night!
