With less than a month to go until the Marriage Equality referendum, the countdown is on. So if you are voting Yes on May 22nd, this amazing photoshoot on Saturday may be of interest to you..
Face2Face with Marriage Equality are inviting LGBTQ+ people and straight allies to have their photo taken on Saturday April 25th from 1pm-6pm at The Skylab, 2 Exchange Street Upper, Dublin 8.
Speaking about the success of their previous photoshoots, Nola Mellon, Creative Director of Face2Face with Marriage Equality said “I’m still so overwhelmed with the positive response we’ve received for the project. It’s great to see so many people take part in the project and show amazing support for such an important referendum. I’m excited to reach our target of 500 photographs at our next shoot!”
This is their third photoshoot, and the photos from the previous two shoots are absolutely gorgeous showing people from all age groups and walks of life, straight or LGBTQ+ all in favour of saying yes to love.
Katie Biggs, Communications Manager for the project, also added, “My favourite thing about the project is how lovely everyone is being to each other in the comments of the photographs. Some pictures are surpassing 100’s of likes and comments, all positive! Everyone that’s had their picture taken has been excited about the project and delighted with their photograph when it goes up.”
This is an important social media campaign that is gaining great momentum, so if you’re voting yes on May 22nd get on down to Skylab on Saturday and give the lads at Face2Face your best smile – or smize!
