This footage from 1965 brings you on a guided tour of our city as it was then and it’s fascinating to watch.
Uploaded by LIFFEYBANX, the video brings us through Christchurch, College Green and O’Connell Street, while the camera takes in all the slow moving cars of the era and pedestrians go about their business.
The biggest difference we can see is everyone seems to be going at their own pace, like the idea of rushing didn’t exist back then; we could use more of that these days.
