Dublin Horse Show
The Dublin Horse Show is running until this Sunday in the RDS. There are all kinds of horse and pony shows taking place each day and bands performing in the background for a bit of atmosphere. The Dublin Horse Show also is having a “Ladies Day” with the top prize being an €8,000 shopping trip to New York… Nice. There are prizes for the best dressed men too so shine up your shoes and make a day of it.
Ballyturk
I’m absolutely dying to see this. Ballyturk, staring one of Ireland’s most famous actors, Cillian Murphy, and written by playwright Enda Walsh, is being billed as a stunning piece of acting and writing that is both hilarious and tragic at the same time. The play tells the story of two men whose lives unravel quickly over the course of ninety minutes. “Where are they? Who are they? What room are they in? What lies beyond these walls?”. It received rave reviews after its debut in Galway, definitely a must see.
Revolver Project Presents: Ryan Vail, Affleck & Guests
This weekend the Revolver Project brings two of the country’s most exciting electronic acts, Ryan Veil and Affleck, to the Twisted Pepper. These two musicians are on the rise so see them before they explode! It’s set to be a really exciting, packed out gig- definitely not one to miss if you’re into electronic music. You can still buy tickets here.
Wildlife Photographer Of The Year Exhibition
For the first time in Ireland this exhibition is being show in the CHQ Building and runs until the 31st August. The exhibition includes 100 awards-winning images of wild animals in their natural habitat. The CHQ always puts on great photography exhibitions and this is one that I definitely won’t be missing.
