If there’s anything – ANYTHING – positive (and there’s not much) to take from the sad news that Jo’Burger’s four Dublin venues will close, it’s the incredible soundness of the people of Dublin at times like these.
It’s a really sad situation as the restaurant group that helped define the casual dining scene as it is today announces it will cease operations with immediate effect at Crackbird, Hey Donna, Jo’Burger and Bar Giuseppe.
The news means that many staffers will be out of work just before Christmas, something that the folks at Whelan’s on Wexford St. hope they can help out with.
They tweeted this morning:
‘Devastated for the staff especially at this time of year. Get in touch and we’ll see what we can do [email protected]’

Hopefully more establishments in the city are in the position to follow suit, so that we can get people sorted as soon as possible.
