Woman Killed Early This Morning After Being Struck By Luas Tram

Gardaí at Kilmainham are investigating a fatal collision which happened in the early hours of this morning. 

A woman was fatally injured when she was hit by a Luas tram on the Red Line at St James Walk, Rialto, Dublin 8 at approximately 12.35am this morning. 

The area was closed off to facilitate Garda Forensic Collision Investigators but has since reopened. 

Anyone who may have witnessed the collision or who may have information is asked to contact Kilmainham Garda Station 01-666 9700, the Garda Confidential Line 1800 666 111 or any Garda Station.
