Sprezzatura Is A Savage New Pasta Joint And It Just Opened Up On Grantham Street

Alan Fisher

Sweet pasta heaven, where have you been all our lives.

I didn’t know how much I needed a place like this until I visited it.

Pasta, pasta, more pasta and wine on tap. The dream.

We got to check out Sprezzatura for our Early Doors series. Check it out:

The beauty of Sprezzatura, which has opened up in the old Grantham’s Cafe, is that it concentrates heavily on sustainability and uses Irish produce.

They don’t do paper receipts, their napkins are compostable and they have no bottles as all their wine and beer are on tap.

Hats off to the guys for starting off on the right foot.

All of their produce is sourced here in Ireland and all of the pasta is homemade.

I managed to get my hands on a few dishes including Rigatoni, Cacioe E Pepe, Gnocchi with Sage Butter, Anchovies, Tomato Carpaccio and, Stracciatella cheese with bread.

All of the pasta dishes were delightful and they are all covered in shaved parmesan.

The gnocchi was unreal with sage butter was my favorite and it’s only €7!

In fact, you won’t find a dish over €10 on the menu which is incredible. It means you could pop out and grab this for lunch or for a decent dinner followed by a glass of wine.

The food is absolutely to die for and I can’t wait to go back and check out a few more of the fresh pasta dishes.

The interiors are quite slick and dark with one of the rooms having a giant table that you can sit around on stools.

Perfect for mingling on a night out.
