U2 played their first run of Dublin shows at the 3Arena last night and none other than Michael D Higgins and his wife Sabina were there to enjoy the gig.
The newly re-elected president was welcomed by a huge round of applause from the crowd as the couple took their seats up on the balcony.
U2 are in the middle of their sold-out Experience and Innocence tour, which will see them playing more Dublin shows at the 3Arena tonight, Friday and Saturday.

Miggeldy even got a shout out from Bono himself as he dedicated one of their songs to him during the show.
Higgins also shared a snap of himself and Sabina backstage with Bono and the lads before the concert started and we’re not sure who looks more delighted about the situation.
