There's nothing quite like the D4 accent.
I'll never forget the first time I ever heard it. I was about 13-years-old in The Gaeltacht and the Dublin kids flocked together speaking what seemed like a different tongue to me (no, I'm not talking about their Gaeilge!). Their accents were so posh they sounded like they were about to sneeze every time the opened their mouths.
Since moving up from the country and moving from the Northside to the Southside two years ago, it's now almost too familiar.
The other day while scrolling through the gram I came across a hilarious Instagram account called 'South Dubin Life' that I just had to follow.
As you can imagine, this meme account is centred around Dublin humour, it's sure to make you giggle when you need a pick me up.
Here are some of my favourite memes so far:
It's all just a bit of craic, stupid, silly humour.
With close to 50k followers, this seems to be a bit of a hit with the Instagrammers of Dublin!
