Dalkey is known as one of the most beautiful areas in Dublin boasting incredible views, seafront walks and a beautiful little village. We decided to cast our spotlight on it to highlight the best places to visit and things to do in Dalkey.
When it comes to a having a scoop you can’t beat Finnegan’s Pub, a traditional pub with character and fantastic atmosphere. Queens Pub is another great shout that attracts a younger crowd, especially at the weekends with music pumping upstairs.
The Magpie Inn attracts locals thanks to their gastro food and craft beers. The Tramyard is great for a spot of lunch and, again, serves a great selection of craft beers. When it comes to the weekends a spot of breakfast with the papers in The Corner Note can’t be beaten.
Dalkey is the perfect place for a walk while taking in the beautiful coast and sea views, head over at the weekend and do the Coliemore Harbour walk to take in the views of Dalkey Island. Alternatively start out at Killiney Hill and make your way into Dalkey Village and reward yourself with something tasty to eat afterwards!
Photographer Derek Kennedy was in Dalkey shooting for us last weekend so scroll on to have a look at what this picturesque village has to offer!
