South William Street is one of my favourite parts of the city, there’s such a great vibe and vibrancy from all the independent stores and creative businesses on the street. It’s become well known as a beauty mecca with tonnes of hair salons, barbers, nail bars and beauty rooms lining the street.
The street is also home to some of our favourite places to eat. We love having breakfast at one of the outdoor tables in Metro and people watching while we eat, drinking fancy loose leaf teas in Clement & Pekoe and sinking our teeth into the bloody London Broil steak from Bear at the weekends.
There’s also lots of alternative independent stores on the street from Tropical Popical Nail Bar to Miss Fantasia’s Boudoir! The Powerscourt Centre is also lined with beautiful clothes shops and jewellery stores and is home to the Pepper Pot, the café that makes the most incredible bacon, pear and cheese sandwich.
It’s the perfect street for a stroll on a Saturday morning to take in all the sights, sounds and smells around you!
