The statistics for Irish soundness keep piling up, especially since Dublin Bus released the results of a survey today that revealed that 90% of passengers say thanks to their driver when departing the bus.
The survey, which 4,500 people filled out, also revealed a bevy of other interesting bus stats: 23% of us say hello, 12% of us take a nap, and 62% of us spend between 20 and 60 minutes on our phones.
Also, 23% of us admitted to forming a crush while on a bus journey ( it is a romantic setting).
While all those facts are well and good, I think no one was surprised that 90% of people say thanks on their way off the bus, because exiting a Dublin bus often feels like a queue simply to applaud our legend of a driver.
