A Man Was Killed And His Daughter Injured In A Dublin Road Accident Last Night

A man has died and his daughter has been injured after they were knocked down by an SUV in Dublin last night.

The man and his daughter were walking on the Newcastle Road in Lucan when they were struck by the car, shortly before 9pm.

Although, both of them were rushed to hospital for treatment, the man, who was in his 60s, was later pronounced dead.

His 17-year-old daughter's injuries are not considered to be life-threatening. 

Gardaí at Clondalkin station are still investigating the scene. The road has since re-opened.
