It has just been confirmed that Ian Dempsey will be returning to our screens tonight to co-host The Seven O’Clock Show on TV3.
Appearing alongside his TodayFM colleague Louise Duffy, the pair will be filling in for regular hosts of the show Lucy Kennedy and Martin King while they’re on holiday.
Despite presenting a live radio show every weekday morning, this will be Dempsey’s first live TV show in two decades, he said:
As a presenter I haven’t been on Live TV for 20 years so this should be interesting! I know that Louise has a lot to talk about but I hope she gives me an opportunity to speak at some stage during the 60 minutes.
His co-host Louise Duffy is delighted to have the chance to work more closely with him again.
The only thing I miss about my very early mornings is getting to work with Ian every day, so I’m so excited to join him again for a week on the couch on The Seven O’Clock Show!

To see the national treasure that is Ian Dempsey take to the screens again, you can catch him on The Seven O’ Clock Show from today until Thursday, August 27.
Here’s hoping we’ll see more of him on our tellies in the near future. And while they’re at it, can we have Zig and Zag back too?
