Gardaí Want To Fine You €50 For Not Having ALL These Items In Your Car
For starters, you'll be needing a high-vis jacket
New legislation has been proposed that would see all Irish motorists forced to carry an emergency pack in their cars, with non-compliance resulting in a €50 on-the-spot fine.
The pack would be comprised of a torch, a high visibility vest, a warning triangle, a first-aid kit, and a fire extinguisher. Drivers who fail to carry an emergency pack in their cars could be fined €50, should this law come into effect.
Not only that, documents have been released that suggest penalty points may also be given to those without the kit.
It’s estimated that equipping yourself with this emergency pack will cost between €40 and €50.
The purpose of the emergency pack is to improve visibility at the scene of road accidents.
