If you’re one of those people who were sickened to discover that Electric Picnic coincided with a massive weekend for sport, don’t worry, we’ve got you covered.
Be advised, all these places will fill up very quickly, so get your place nice and early.
Here are the three places at Electric Picnic you can watch this weekend’s sport:
1. An Puball Gaeilge
If you want to catch the All-Ireland Hurling Final this Sunday, head on over to An Puball Gaeilge, the Irish language tent near the Mindfield area, where you’ll also find Hector and Raidió Na Life over the weekend. However, you won’t be able to see the football or rugby matches here.
The throw-in for Kilkenny V Galway is 3.30pm on Sunday.
2. Newstalk Lounge
Located in the Mindfield area, you will be able to catch both the hurling and the football matches at the Newstalk Lounge, where the likes of Sean Moncrieff and Tom Dunne will be hosting shows during the festival. However, you still won’t be able to catch the rugby at this venue.
Throw-in for the Dublin V Mayo replay is at 5.00pm on Saturday.
3. E-Lite Curve Dome
Finally, the E-Lite Curve Dome will be showing the hurling, football and rugby this weekend. However, if you watch the video below of the venue being assembled, you’ll be able to see that it doesn’t have a terribly big capacity, so to catch your match you’d better arrive early.
Ireland V England will start at 2.30 pm on Saturday.
If you know of anywhere else at Electric Picnic where sports fans can catch the weekend’s matches, please let us know in the comment section.
