While he was a controversial figure during his playing days – particularly among Leinster fans during the emergence of Johnny Sexton – time has been kind to Ronan O'Gara's legacy, and his place amongst the all-time greats of the Irish game is assured.

The documentary that's to be shown tonight on RTÉ Two isn't new – but if today's Six Nations action hasn't quite sated your appetite for the sport, then it may just be exactly what you want. It follows the Number 10 during the final four years of his career, just as young Sexton began to oust him from the team as he'd done to David Humphreys several years previously.

A fascinating insight into a fascinating character, on and off the field.

ROG – The Ronan O'Gara Documentary, RTÉ Two, 9.40pm
