The first of many outrageously tasty Lovin Boxes comes this week via the good folk at Whitefriar Grill. Having opened its doors in 2011, WFG has since made a name for itself as the go to place for no nonsense food, packed full of goodness and flavour. Their brunch menu is particularly to die for and you’d be hard pushed to get a table in here at their busiest times on a Saturday or Sunday.
For their Lovin Box, head chef Geoff Nordell (previously of La Mer Zou and Bleu Bistro) along with his team have created something particularly special.
Behold, their crispy rolled pork belly and prawn salad with quinoa, juicy pomegranate, fennel purple broccoli and mint.
Not a baddy in sight here and, take it from us because we sampled it ourselves, it’s fucking delicious.

Whitefriar Grill
Whitefriar Grill’s story is one that will surely resonate with Dubliners, the three lads running the show having been friends since childhood. Geoff in the kitchen is joined by Sous chef Peter Murphy with the lovely Nigel Smith managing the front of house. Their friendship is mirrored in the relaxed atmosphere of the restaurant and their particularly loyal social media following.
If you’re lucky enough to get your hands on a box this week, you will not be disappointed. Get signed up over here.
