It's been revealed that one third of Irish consumers do their weekly shop at Tesco.

The figures where revealed in the report 'Where We Shop 2015' by Checkout Magazine and Ignite Research.

Tesco coming out on top may come as a surprise to some, as Aldi and Lidl have benefitted from many consumers switching to their stores in the last year.

The report also showed that 23% of shoppers do their "big shop" at Aldi, 16% at Lidl, 15% at Dunnes Stores, and 11% at SuperValu.

Apparently, Tesco is a bigger hit with the ladies, with 34% of female consumers shopping there as opposed to 31% of males.
