If you fancy debating the relative nature of existence, you could open with that thought-provoking if perhaps a little clichéd line – or you could take a leaf out of Patrick Stewart's book, and pose it in an altogether more original way. Involving pizza.

Naturally.

The actor, who only had his first slice of pizza two years ago, was ostensibly asking a question about the etiquette surrounding crusts in the tweet below. But really, he opened up the floor to a much bigger question – and it's one that will rack our brains deep into the night.

And discuss, we shall.

Sigh. Life was so much simpler when it was just trees falling in empty woods.
