In case you missed it, Cecil was a Zimbabwean lion and national treasure who was tragically wounded by an arrow fired by an American recreational hunter last July, before being shot to death after 40 hours of agony.
The killing sparked outrage around the world and the extradition of Cecil’s killer to Zimbabwe has been called for by the government of Zimbabwe.
