The National Library of Ireland will host a public interview with professor of Irish studies at St. Mary’s University, London and former president of Ireland, Mary McAleese at 7pm tomorrow, Wednesday November 30.

The event will be held at the Seminar Room, National Library of Ireland, Kildare Street, Dublin 2. The interview concludes the Library’s Inspiration Proclamation series, hosted by historian and broadcaster Dr John Bowman.

The series considers the relevance of the 1916 Proclamation – including prominent figures from Irish life whohave shared their unique insights and thoughts during their own hour-long public interview over the past three months.

The first four interviews in the series saw Archbishop Diarmuid Martin; historian Professor Gearóid Ó Tuathaigh; writer Roddy Doyle and novelist Edna O’Brien interviewed. The series concludes with Mary McAleese, tomorrow.

Tickets for the interview series are free, however registration is essential and all tickets for tomorrow’s event have been booked. A waitlist for tickets is available right here.
