Burgers have come in the same shape and size for the best part of a century. Sure you get lots of fancy toppings and different meats but we thought we'd seen it all when it comes to innovation. That was until the crazy Japanese got involved and the folks over there at Burger King introduced these black burgers.
The burger bun and cheese are both coloured with bamboo charcoal and the sauce is made with squid ink to make it jet black. See the thing about this is that none of the tastes would be wildly different to normal but our brains are so programmed to eat stuff that we are used to that most of us would be put off by the black burger.
