The newest Lolly & Cooks has just opened in Herbert Park, and it’s their biggest café yet.
Having thrown wide its doors for the first time on Friday, the new café is their fourth location in Dublin, with their stall in George’s Street Arcade, a café on Baggot Street and another along the Grand Canal.
With their other locations working around the business trade, with customers coming in for their work lunches and coffees, the Herbert Park café will have a much more relaxed vibe.
It’s hoped that the café, being located in the park, will be an ideal spot for families to enjoy. Manager Gillian Caldwell said,
With the playground and tennis courts, which we will be managing, we’ll be very child friendly, with a new kids’ menu, and outdoor games as well. We’ll also be serving wine and our amazing sparkling sangria for the grown ups.
Take a look at the new spot below.
Breakfast is served between 8am and 11am, and includes the likes of free range poached eggs with homemade oaty bread or nutty sliced pan, their breakfast bowl (with a choice of granola, Greek yogurt, fruit, salad, berry compote, and stewed apple), and their bacon butty (on toasted nutty granary bread, with bacon and butter).
While their lunch menu is extensive, their most popular offerings have to be their savage sausage rolls (coming in original, garlic and rosemary, and cranberry) and their selection of cupcakes in flavours like chocolate fudge, strawberry and vanilla, and lemon curd and toasted marshmallow.
The café also plans to start making picnic baskets to rent, full of their best offerings, so you can grab one and go enjoy it in the park.
