Dublin Is Getting A Brand New Rooftop Bar In An Old Church

Sarah

Do you like cheap pitchers of cocktails and bargain pub snacks? Of course you do.

You’ll be fairly pleased to hear the news then that J D Wetherspoons, the popular UK pub chain, has just gotten the green light for its plans to convert two vacant buildings on Lower Abbey Street into a new bar.

They bought the vacant buildings two years ago, and can now finally get going on plans for their latest Dublin venture.

One of the buildings is an 1839 church, and the pub is expected to have a floor area of 955 sq metres.

Best bit? There’s gonna be a beer garden AND roof terrace.

Their rooftop spot in Dun Laoghaire is pretty slick, so we reckon this is going to be a solid place to go to soak up some rays.

Niiiiice.
