Here’s What €8,000 A Month In Rent Will Get You In Dublin City

The rents continue to rise and our hopes continue to fall.

It is ridiculously hard to find decent and affordable property in Dublin at the moment so if you’re on the hunt for a suitable abode, you have our deepest sympathies.

Yet, despite the dismal state of affairs, we’re still all obsessed with looking at other people’s houses – whether it’s a multi-million penthouse in the IFSC or a ‘cosy, studio apartment’ that is actually a hot press.

So, what does €8,000 get you in Dublin’s rental market these days?

This “beautifully presented and significantly private large penthouse apartment” is spread over 3000sq feet, with four double bedrooms.

Each with “very large ensuite and separate dressing rooms”, obviously.

There’s also a home office, a “very large” drawing room with feature fireplace and polished timber flooring and a kitchen with custom-made high and low level units, gas range and stone counter tops.

If you fancy doing some entertaining, you’re in luck as the apartment also boats a large dining room with seating for up to 10 people.

The best bit? A large lounge at rooftop level, with 360 degree views of Dublin and with external roof terrace.

It’s a nice apartment but we’re not sure we’d spend €8K a month on it… even if we did have it!
