If your favourite date is April 25 because “it’s not too hot, not too cold, all you need is a light jacket”, then you miiiight be interested to know that the search for the next Miss Dublin is officially on.
Scouts are looking for four Dublin gals to represent Dublin North, South, East and West, going forward to the final of Miss Ireland on June 9.
Open castings will begin on May 8 in Twenty Two on South Anne Street.
Brendan Marc Scully from Miss Ireland said: ”Every year we are more excited than the last as the event seems to become bigger and bigger each time with and this being the 71st year we feel is going to be a very special one.
“We have some new additions to the format of the competition which we will be revealing shortly but it will have a modern twist that I think reflects the changing nature of Ireland and Irish women in particular.
“Every year we find someone that is a little bit different from the last which reflects the nature of the competition. We are really looking forward to meeting the hopeful contestants and making someone’s dreams come true”.
Miss Ireland is one of the World’s longest running beauty pageants and the winner of Miss Ireland gets the chance to go on to Miss World, an event that hosts a top prize of $100,000 and every year attracts thousands of entrants in over 120 countries.
